The diversity of tourism offerings in Ulcinj and its surroundings provides opportunities for all generations, which has also been recognized by the airline Wizz Air, who have expressed interest in promoting Ulcinj’s tourism potential on the international market.
During an official visit to Ulcinj, representatives of Wizz Air stayed in the city – Salome Khunduze, Airport Development Manager for regional countries, and Akos Bus, Head of Airport Development. In the previous period, Wizz Air has opened several air routes to Montenegro, significantly improving the country’s connectivity with European markets, reaching as many as 23 destinations.
The meeting was held at the premises of the Tourist Organization of Ulcinj, where the guests were welcomed by the Director of the Tourist Organization Ćazim Hodžić, Deputy Mayor of Ulcinj Petar Delić, and Assistant Director of TO Ulcinj Valjon Mehmedović. During the meeting, discussions focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation and promote Ulcinj’s tourism potential on the international market.

The purpose of their visit was to become familiar with Ulcinj’s tourism potential, as well as to explore possibilities for further promotion of this destination through Wizz Air’s communication channels. These channels include digital platforms, mobile applications, promotional materials, and company magazines, which reach a large number of users and followers – tens of thousands of travelers and potential tourists across Europe.
During their stay in Ulcinj, the guests had the opportunity to visit some of the most important tourist locations. They visited Velika Plaža, one of the longest and most attractive sandy beaches on the Adriatic, several hotel facilities in the city, as well as the unique natural area of Ada Bojana. During the tour, they were introduced to the tourism offer, infrastructure, and the diverse content that Ulcinj provides to visitors.
Representatives of Wizz Air expressed particular enthusiasm for the natural beauty and authentic atmosphere of Ulcinj. They emphasized that this destination has significant potential for development and promotion on the international market. They especially highlighted the fact that Ulcinj is one of the most affordable tourist destinations in Montenegro in terms of prices, making it highly attractive to a wide range of tourists.
They also pointed out that Ulcinj offers diverse opportunities for different types of tourism – from family and leisure tourism, to adventure and sports tourism, as well as health and cultural tourism. This diversity makes the destination appealing to all generations and tourists with different budgets, making Ulcinj accessible to everyone.
This visit represents an important step toward strengthening the international promotion of Ulcinj and positioning it on the European tourism market, with potential cooperation with Wizz Air in the field of promotion and increasing tourist traffic.
